Washington Outdoor School For All

We Win spearheaded the Washington Outdoor School for All project that launched in January of 2020 under the auspices of the Washington Outdoor School Consortium, a coalition of outdoor education providers with an interest in establishing universal access to a full week of residential conservation and science education for all Washington students during their 5th or 6th grade years. The WOSC is supported by the Association of Washington School Principals Education Foundation, which acts as its 501c3 fiscal sponsor. 

We Win Strategy Group coordinated its successful drive to pass $10 million in funding in the 2021 Legislative Session. There continues to be great enthusiasm and support for Outdoor School in the Legislature as well as from Governor Inslee. There are bills in the House and Senate that would establish an outdoor school program in the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction as well as a budget proviso for $52 million to fund universal outdoor school in the coming year.
